Handing my computer over to anyone is scary! I’m a screenwriter and a couple of weeks ago, my 5 year old hard drive crashed. I had a week’s worth of writing that hadn’t been backed up. I was freaking out! I made several calls to repair shops and I just didn’t feel comfortable with anyone I spoke to. Plus, they all were going to take 3 or 4 days just to diagnose the problem! I’m on a deadline and I may have already lost a week’s work! I immediately felt comfortable with the person I talked to on the phone, so I drove over and left my computer with Alex. He explained that I’d probably need a new hard drive and he could probably save 95% of my data. I got a detailed list of prices on everything (very reasonable) and he didn’t talk down to me! By 5pm the next day, I had my computer back – with everything including my writing in tact! AMAZING! And, my computer now runs all the latest updates (without going to Vista) and it runs 10 times faster than before. I can get a few more years out of this computer! Thank you so much. During that time Orange County Computer has provided exceptional customer service and technical support for our company.On numerous occasions, the productivity of our company was at a stand still and had it not been for the prompt and competent services of Orange County Computer, our company would have been down for much longer. On one occasion, our entire company was offline and required the immediate rebuilding of a server and reinstallation in an outside data storage facility. The problem occurred after hours and Orange County Computer worked through the night to get our company in operable condition before the start of the next business day.

My writing projects were stalled by well-meaning friends who were reputed to “know all about computers.“ They didn’t (!) and the chronic problems that my five-year-old “Hal Jr.” had developed were “nickel-and-diming” me into ever more aggravating frustration. Looking finally for professional help, a stroke of good fortune brought me to the wonderful people at Orange County Computer. What a relief! They explained the problems in non-technical terms and offered several repair options, depending on my requirements and budget. Within one working day, they de-bugged Hal Jr., increased its power, unscrambled glitches I had caused, installed a new hard drive and, in general, restored my computer to its original performance. After I set it up and plugged it in, they made sure with a phone call that everything was working properly.
