THX for this solution. I will test it soon as i get my new iPhone 3GS ^^

Nice. Shame the “battery burn’ you refer to is actually a case of color transfer from 3rd party cases, which can be cleaned up through the simple application of rubbing alcohol.

Great solution, i have fixed my iphone 3gs overheating issue. Thank you!!!

Regardless of what causes the new Iphone 3GS back cover discoloration the point is that “SEVERAL NEW IPHONES 3GS FEEL HOT, VERY HOT WHEN CHARGING OR USING RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX”
reinstalling the 3.0 firmware works and resolves the corrupt images during the mass production of the phone.

    Would installing 3.0.1 work?

  24. admin on August 29th, 2009 10:27 am

Yes I believe that installing 3.01 could also work for the image restore as well.

I am currently dealing with a DV 2125nr and a DV9260nr. The 9260 has the classic NVidia failure. the 2125 has what appears to be both a bios problem and corruption of a dll file on the hard drive.

    Are these common issues?

  26. deborah on April 13th, 2010 2:56 pm

The issue you are having with the dv9260 is a common issue. We’ve seen this problem with the nVidia chipset in more HP laptops than we care to remember. As to the dv2125 bios issues, a bios can have a problem, which is why the manufacturers update those updates. Generally speaking with a bios I would never update it unless there is a problem. The rule “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” definitely applies.
With the corrupted DLL file – That’s more of a general computer issue than a problem specific to HP laptops. DLL’s can become corrupt from many things, bad hard drives and viruses for starters. The easiest way to fix a corrupted DLL file would be to reinstall whatever program that it belongs to. If it is a Windows specific file, then reinstall Windows.

I love my Iphone. I just read that the next Apple iPhone 4G HD will feature a 5-megapixels camera from LG Innotek with LED flash. I am looking forward to get the 4G one. All the best Lisa Abbott.

I heard I can’t wait to see it. I sure hope it’s soon.
